Atlanta, GA: Modern Telegraph (www.moderntelegraph.com), the leading provider of Tier 1 services to the calling card market, today launched its initiative to provide Tier 1 carrier services to the retail market space. Customers can now enjoy flexible contract terms, faster provisioning and the similarly discount structures enjoyed by CLECs and major telecom companies without the volume commitments. Modern Telegraph’s services are now available to the SMB/E marketplace.
Any retail customer who retains services through Modern Telegraph gains the flexibility of direct connections to Tier 1 providers while enjoying substantial service discounts, SLAs and support services. This service gives retail customers the same benefits that are enjoyed by CLECs and major telecom providers. Customers gain a direct means of contracting and provisioning Tier 1 services without the need of a value added reseller (VAR) or to pay the markup required by VARs.
“Modern Telegraph’s partnerships has improved the SMB/E customer’s ability to connect directly to Tier 1 providers that would normally require that service be purchased through a VAR or meet a minimum monthly commitment,” said Wesley Barnes, Managing Principal of Modern Telegraph. “This new method of delivering carrier based services will give more retail customers greater access to specialized services from the source thereby improving costs, contractual terms and overall service delivery.”
The initial release will be limited to a selected number of Tier 1 providers such as Global Crossing, Paetec, ATT and Qwest. Modern Telegraph is schedule to have a network wide service launch by Q3 of 2007. Modern Telegraph will also incorporate the regulatory and compliance consultancy with its telecom retail offering by the end of Q2 2007.
