Modern Telegraph CORE: Online Order Management Solution for Voip Providers
Modern Telegraph is making the deployment of local numbers (DIDs) and voice communication services for VoIP providers more open and user-friendly with the new version of CORE, a customizable online order management module. The module allows VoIP providers to instantly create an online provisioning presence for the deployment of local numbers (DIDs), toll free and termination services. The module is self-contained and ready to deploy. It also has the added flexibility of simple configuration and interoperability to meet various billing and provisioning requirements, meshing seamlessly with existing OSS platforms.
"With the upgrade to CORE, Modern Telegraph is expanding the ability of VoIP service providers to quickly bring their services to market in an easily managed, automated and scalable way. This tool effectively gives small and medium service providers the same front end as the market leaders” said Wesley Barnes, Principal of Modern Telegraph.
CORE is a customized order management solution that can be ported to providers’ web server and integrated with their online presence. CORE order management module broadens service providers’ reach, enabling the delivery of online services to retail customers and business partners through a secure, archiving and reporting system. Without customization CORE contains advanced management benefits typical of expensive custom developed solutions.
Curtis Jenkins, Director of Service Delivery, explains “there were many considerations that were included in the basic fabric of CORE, such as pro-rated charges at the time of purchase.” While this may sound simple, prepaid VoIP providers typically collect more money from online customers than should have been paid. Incorrect charges often result in additional processes and costs such as service credits from the billing system and customer satisfaction concerns. CORE solves this problem for providers by keeping the purchase amount accurate every step of the way.
A CORE demonstration interface is available at http://demo.moderntelegraph.com/?mt=yco. For more information or to schedule a demonstration of the CORE order management module, please contact Modern Telegraph. CORE is currently being deployed by several service providers.

CCI Partnership Announced
Modern Telegraph, VoIP and TDM Tier 1 service reseller, announced it has signed agreements with CCI Communications as part of its efforts to penetrate the SMB/E market. The partnerships extends Modern Telegraph’s ability to deliver carrier grade services to the retail marketspace for customers who would like to take advantage of carrier discounts without having the contractual volume commitments.
Modern Telegraph will offer the CCI Communications solutions as well as aggregated and RespOrg services. This will give businesses a powerful and flexible partner in managing toll free and A-Z termination services. This partnership will complete the initial offerings from Modern Telegraph as it develops and deploys complete Tier 1 carrier bases services directly to the SMB/E market.
Modern Telegraph will introduce the CCI service plans to move than 750 calling card providers in the coming weeks as part of its beta service offering. Plans eventually include offering the service to a wider spectrum of retail customer and sales partners by Q3. “The Modern Telegraph solution streamlines the way organizations purchase services directly from Tier 1 or specialized providers. Customers will enjoy wholesale discounts without the contractual commitments that could be burdensome to the small business owner”, said company spokesperson Oliver Anderson. “This is our way of making an investment in a specific segment of our customer base to ensure, as much as we can, their success.”
Modern Telegraph services enables companies to be able to connect, communicate and collaborate by having direct access to services that are normally either filtered by VARs or required large financial commitments. The complete suite of toll free, DIDs, termination, conferencing and E911 services helps business become more productive by removing the barriers of having to maintain services with a VAR while really only requiring the underlying service from the Tier 1 provider. No additional costs, no complications just pure service.

The initial release will be limited to a selected number of Tier 1 providers such as Global Crossing, Paetec, ATT and Qwest. Modern Telegraph is schedule to have a network wide service launch by Q3 of 2007. Modern Telegraph will also incorporate the regulatory and compliance consultancy with its telecom retail offering by the end of Q2 2007.
